free-time-activities.com was born in 2013 as a spinoff from an idea of Luca Lafranchi, a sailing enthusiast.

Over the years Luca has sailed in Patagonia (Cape Horn and Beagle Channel), in the English Channel (Brittany and England), in the Mediterranean (Adriatic, Tyrrhenian, Ionian, Balearic, Alboran), and in the Strait of Gibraltar and did the TRANSAT from Martinique to Gibraltar via the Azores. His latest experience took him to the Tasman Sea and the Indian Ocean, where he sailed from Whangarei in New Zealand up along the east coast of Australia to Darwin, continuing to Cocos Islands and finally arriving in Mauritius.

He has approximately 20,000 nautical miles of navigation experience and has the Swiss offshore sailing license (unlimited) and the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore.

In 2018 he decided to follow the path of entrepreneurship.
